The Time For Monsters

The most powerful men in the world are hunting me for sport.

If I can survive the wilderness for a full week, they’ll let me go.

If they catch me? Every and any indignity they wish.

The only way to fight these monsters is with a monster of my own.

A beast of nightmares calls to me through my dreams. The old world bleeds away as something primordial and terrifying explores the darkest reaches of my mind. Through glimpses, I see the chitinous, alien shell of this eldritch thing, but I can’t turn away. My fantasies unfurl at its curious touch, and when I free it from its arcane prison, it awakens something terrible within me.

This lust, this rage, this twisted bliss.

It stalks the woods for those that hunt me, a tool of my vengeance. I wish I could say that’s all it is, but this forbidden desire won’t go away.

I don’t want the fantasy this monster offers me. I want the monster itself.

Dark, raw and twisted love story

This book is not for the faint of the heart, has a triggers list with a mile long. That said, I really enjoyed this twisted tale, the author did a great work with the characters, described well all layers of emotions, even the darkest and that gave intensity to the plot.

A weirdly hot romance in the middle of survival and revenge!

Hell! This book was dark. Don’t forget to read the trigger list before you start this one haha, not for the faint of heart. My soul is not that delicate, so I enjoyed this book!

A fascinating new world and a twisted plot that keeps the suspense high until the very end!

Drelark and Shayde’s story is more than dark. Set in a post-apocalyptic future in which reality and science fiction seem to blend effortlessly, it’s dominated by a perfectly crafted new world in which nightmare and reality mix in a way I’ve never read before. The language is more than graphic in places, not to say brutal and crude, and certainly not to everyone’s taste.

The reason I’m giving this book 4 stars nonetheless is because of the masterful development of the characters and the plot, which kept the suspense going until the very end. If you like this type of story, you’ve found a real treasure here.
